The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble/doodle a pic of any pairing/character of their choosing of any series I'm familiar with. If you're not sure, post a reference pic. :P
In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. (If you absolutely can't write, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drawings or icons or something instead.)

1) [livejournal.com profile] korinacaffeine Troll/human, specifically Zek'jaf and Lara from WoW
2) [livejournal.com profile] chaosdragon draco malfoy in black rimmed glasses. open dress shirt and candy cane in his mouth optional. (which means not really :P)
3) [livejournal.com profile] silver11016 Oshitari Yuushi from Prince of Tennis, your choice of attempting to cook or driving a Skyline GT-R.

She hates him, and he hates her.

It's the one thing Jasmine Burke has always been able to count on in her admittedly hectic life-- but when the unthinkable happens, she comes to find that Ellis Carmichael is the only one she can trust.

(Also, Ellis totally has to have dreads. And it has to be interracial, because it's hot and doesn't get nearly enough love.)

...gawd. I acutally just said the phrase, "Oh, shut up. I'm a girl, I'm allowed to."

I'm also writing wall!sex. Attempting to, at least. Will have to share with [livejournal.com profile] chaosdragon when I'm done to see if it's any good. :P

Hey Maggie! I have a potential new plotbunny for you! )

Christ... how the fuck am I not done with this thing yet? Every time I think I'm half done translating the hero myth, I realize I'm not even close! *headdesks* Stop being so damned wordy, Kaa, I can't keep going back to tone things down!

In translating my notes into story format, I've realized that my hero myth for class is going to go over the wordcount of my creation myth by at least quadruple, if not more. It's just over double, right now, and I'm around... half-done? If that.

I've also realized that, even tweaked to fit the requirements of Joseph Campbell's Hero Chart, this is rather violent for a children's story. I'm gonna have to get Mani to kick Kaa out of his depressing thoughts in a paragraph or so, and possibly go back and do a bit of editing of what he's already said.

Damnit, [livejournal.com profile] drowning_misery, get online! I need someone to read what I have so far, and tell me how traumatising this stuff would be to the twins! Yes, they're extremely advanced for their ages considering, but I'm not sure what points are going too far. *shakes j00*

..also, I need to friggin' DRAW the twins so I can have an icon of 'em. Rhys' and Ekisha's triplets are cute 'lil demons, but don't develop at the same rate and are raised with different values than the twins.

ETA: I should not be allowed near powertools, aka I'm done carving my runes. *pets dremmil tool*

"How are you different from your mother?"
"I hope in as few ways as possible."

Got another test assignment today. I have to write a Hero myth.
And, since Ms. Gardell loved this one part of my Creation myth so much...

“Alright then, a story... which shall I tell you? The tale of the courageous dragon that saved a fair maiden from an evil king?"

*grin* Likey?

For the writers out there...

[livejournal.com profile] chaosdragon and I were talking this weekend, and of course ambled into a discussion about our writing styles, preferences, etc, and now I'm curious about something.

When she started, she was more comfortable with writing fanfic using pre-existing characters than were she to create her own (and still is, to an extent). But she's good at what she does, so her origional characters aren't something to be dismissed.

Personally, I'm more comfortable with creating my own characters-- their personalities, backgrounds, what makes them tick. I have a really hard time "hearing" characters that aren't my own, when writing. Hense why I don't often venture into writing fanfic of my own; I'll have a plotbunny, and then inflict it upon [livejournal.com profile] chaosdragon. *evil grin* A couple of which I gave her last night/this morning, most all of which she's going to kill me for even mentioning to her. Because I may suck at writing decent fanfic, but I can damned well come up with a plotline.

...anyway, to get my train of thought back on its' tracks.

So here's the question: whether you write or draw, or something else entirely... are you more comfortable with your own Voices, or do you prefer to play with other people's characters and worlds? Why do you think that is?

Oh, and Maggie? BEWARE!
